Select clips, pick a look, press Generate. A progress bar shows transcription and placement with an ETA.
Highlight the clips you want captioned. Captions go on the track above them.
Choose a preset or tune your own. The live preview plays the animation in your font, with your words.
Speech is transcribed locally and word-synced captions are placed as editable graphics.
Changed the design? Apply style updates the last generated captions. Edited their text? Select the changed graphic and use Update animation. The generated captions’ ⋯ menu has Remove generated captions.

Yes. Edit a Captions Gen graphic in Premiere's Properties panel, then leave it selected. When Caption text changed appears, click Update animation to include your edited or added words. Up to eight animated words fit in each graphic; new timings are estimates, so review playback. Premiere 26 reads edits automatically through the signed reader included in the installer; restart Premiere after updating. Apply style changes the look of the last generated captions without transcribing again. This does not convert native subtitle tracks.
Whisper supports about 100 languages with auto-detect. English gives the tightest word timing. You can pin a language in Settings.
Each caption is a live animated graphic with expressions, which Premiere evaluates every frame. Finish the edit first, then use Render & Replace on the caption track, or just export — the final render is unaffected.
Windows only for now. Mac is planned.
