Optional website analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages bring visitors to captionsgen.com and whether visitors click our free trial or buy buttons. The Google Analytics tag only loads after you choose “Allow analytics”. If you decline or leave the choice unanswered, this website sends no Google Analytics requests.

When allowed, analytics sends Google information about the pages you visit, referral and campaign sources, browser and device information, and website interactions. Google uses analytics cookies to associate visits. We do not enable Google advertising signals or advertising personalization, and our custom button events contain no email, payment details, audio, or video.

We keep your allow or decline preference in your browser for 180 days. The analytics cookies we set also expire after 180 days. You can change your choice using Analytics preferences. Choosing Decline after allowing analytics removes this website’s Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop collection. Data already sent to Google is not removed by that choice.

Saved demo presets

If you save a design in the homepage demo, its name and style settings stay in your browser for your next visit. The demo does not upload saved designs. Open Presets, choose Mine, and use a preset’s delete button to remove it from this browser.

Checkout and purchases

Our trial and buy buttons open Lemon Squeezy’s hosted checkout. Lemon Squeezy processes checkout information, payments, receipts, and licensing under its own privacy policy. This website’s analytics preference applies to captionsgen.com; the checkout is a separate service.

Your footage stays on your machine

Website analytics is separate from the Captions Gen Premiere Pro plugin. The plugin transcribes locally and does not send your audio or video to Google Analytics.
