Captions Gen 1.1.4: clearer model status and loading errors

Captions Gen 1.1.4 improves speech-model readiness checks and makes model-loading failures easier to understand.

Model status follows your cache

If you use a custom Hugging Face cache, the panel now checks that location when reporting which models are ready. It checks the required model files rather than relying on a cache folder name.

Custom Python settings and clearer errors

The updated updater preserves supported custom Python settings. If a model cannot be opened, Captions Gen now reports a model-loading error instead of a misleading audio or clip message.

If your setup relies on custom Python settings, run this update manually from the environment that already works. Your older updater still controls the first installation handoff.

Requires Windows 10/11 and Premiere Pro 25.6 or newer. Install the update and restart Premiere. Captions Gen remains free, with no transcription time limit.

Windows 11 installation note: Windows installers remain unsigned. This release does not resolve Smart App Control blocking. Contact business@captionsgen.com if Windows blocks installation.
